Do you use Feedly?
I (like lots of people I know) was reading all of my blogs through Google Reader.
And when I saw the news that Google Reader was closing, I scrambled to find a replacement.
I love the convenience of having all of the blogs I read in one place.
And I thought I loved Google Reader. I loved reading it through Flipboard on my iPad. But what was I thinking not being with Feedly from the beginning?
It's Feedly for the win.
The design aesthetic is fabulous. It's easy to read. I am in love.
Do you read your favorite blogs through Feedly? If not,you should be. Here's a quick overview.
Feedly installs a shortcut on your browser toolbar. With one click you will see this on your screen.
I changed my design so that I see a lovely teal color scheme.
I read my blogs by clicking on the "latest" option.
If you want to add a blog, click on "add website" on the left and this box will pop up.
type in "www.stephaniehowell.com" and my blog will pop up. Click on it.
You will see my blog entries displayed like this. Simply click the "add" button next to the name of my blog and you will be following me.
I honestly can't believe I wasn't using Feedly from the beginning.
It is so superior to Google Reader. Easy to use, ridiculously pleasing to look at…it's got it all.
I do make sure to click through and leave comments on my favorite blogs, though. Reading through a reader makes it one click harder to leave my thoughts, but I think it's so important to say hi every once in a while. 🙂
So…how do you follow your "must read" blogs? I'd love to know!
