I wanted to start a new blog series today.
I am so guilty of pinning,pinning,pinning...and never doing anything with the pins.
This year I've really worked on changing that and I've been actually TRYING the things I pin. Revolutionary,huh? HA!
I thought that every now and then I'd share pins I've tried and give you a little review. I really think this is helpful...especially with those food pins.

Here's a few things I've pinned and tried in the past few months.
Woven Scarf Knot
Review- The video is super helpful but I am SO bad at following videos in mirror image. SO bad. I kept getting confused.Bless my heart.
So I pretty much half did it and still love teh way it turned out.
Family Dinner with a Book Theme
Review- Okay. I'm a former teacher. How did I NOT think of this myself?
Such a great idea. SO fun. An easy meal and a super cute book. Sadie loved the book so much that she requested I read it to hear class this week.
Milk Art
Review-It totally works. But it is over QUICKLY. In the pin it says you can add more food coloring to keep it going,but that didn't work for us.
Pork Tenderloin w/ Spinach,Mozzarella,Proscuitto

Review- SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. And so easy. We've done this about 6 times now, and lots of times we make up the stuffing for the tenderloin.
But the spinach+prosciutto+sun dried tomatoes+mozzarella is the perfect combination. This is a light,delicious dish.
Glowstick Xylophone
Review- Yeah. This (original) pin lies. It says that an aura will come out of the water in the dark. Which is silly and highly suspicious. I edited the pin to take that part out.
And of course there is no "aura". But it was still fun. This was after Jimmy's surgery and I was getting desperate for entertainment.
Lava in a Cup
Review- Go do it now. So easy. Amazingly cool. We did it about six times in a row.
Glowstick Bath
Review: Buy glowsticks at Michaels (a dollar for a dozen). Throw 2 dozen in the bath, turn the lights out...and it's like a rave up in there.
HUGE HIT.
Cotton Candy+Champagne
Review- EHHHH.Okay. Makes the champagne pink but doesn't really change the taste. Not half as pretty as the pin makes it look. Kind of just looked like a Shirley Temple.
Slow Cooker Chicken Black Bean Tacos
Review- Delicious. As is any Skinnytaste meal I've ever made. YUM.

chicken and white bean enchiladas. SO SO SO GOOD. An immediate favorite here.
oven baked fajitas. YUM.
buffalo chicken dip. made this for J during the super bowl. sinfully good. emphasis on sinful.
apple cider sangria.DELICIOUS. easy and GOOD. i do recommend letting it stay in the frig to infuse for a long time.
