I've never had a green thumb. Scratch that. I don't know if I have a green thumb or not because I've never had any interest in having plants.
But this space screams "I NEED GREEN!". There are niches and spots all over this apartment (including the balcony flower boxes) that need some love.
And I have no idea where to begin. It's doubly hard here because I can't easily ask if things are toxic, easy to take care of, etc.
I went to this amazing garden store yesterday (that's where I took the photo above) and I used my translator to ask the employee what house plants would work for me. I have NO idea what he said. Even though I acted like I understood. HA!
Here's what I'm thinking. I need a few potted houseplants to place here and there around the house. I need them to be pretty, but not something toxic or dangerous to my kids. They are past the "eat anything in sight" stage...but you just never know with the monkeys. I mean twins.
I like succulents too, and I'm drawn to them as well.
Okay. That's enough. I'd love tips, tricks, hints, advice. You name it.
Ciao Sweet Friends!
